About Us

Physiotherapists are healthcare professionals trained in physical and health sciences. They treat conditions related to disability, physical dysfunction, pain, and rehabilitation using non-invasive therapeutic techniques. BPMA serves as a national forum to unite physiotherapists in India under one platform for academic exchange, research, advocacy, and practice development.

Membership Requirements

India

• Applicants must hold a recognized full-time degree in physiotherapy from a UGC-approved Indian university.
• Applications are reviewed by the Membership Sub-Committee and approved by the Governing Body.

From Other Countries

• Foreign-trained physiotherapists working in India may apply, subject to recognition from their national association (a WCPT member) or a valid license from their country.

Member Rights

• Participate in BPMA and World Physiotherapy activities.
• Contribute to policy discussions, meetings, and initiatives.
• Request advocacy support and funding.
• Vote in general meetings and participate in subgroups.

Member Duties

• Comply with BPMA and World Physiotherapy rules, ethics, and policies.
• Submit required documents and updates on organizational changes.
