Governance Framework
BPMA is governed through a structured leadership framework that promotes transparency, accountability, ethical governance, and effective administration in accordance with its Memorandum of Association (MOA), Articles of Association (AOA), and the applicable provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 governing Section 8 Companies.
The leadership of BPMA comprises the National Executive Council, Advisory Board, State Coordinators, and other duly authorized office bearers who work collectively to implement the Association's objectives, strengthen professional development, promote ethical standards, and support members across India.
Each office bearer and committee member performs duties within the scope of the authority delegated by BPMA's governing documents and applicable laws. The organizational structure is designed to ensure effective coordination of educational initiatives, membership services, awareness programs, research activities, and professional development projects.
Important Organizational Notice
The appointment of any office bearer, advisor, coordinator, committee member, or representative of BPMA is an internal organizational designation only. Such appointments do not confer any statutory authority, regulatory powers, governmental status, or legal jurisdiction over the physiotherapy profession or any healthcare institution.
All organizational positions are subject to the Constitution/By-laws of BPMA, applicable laws, and decisions of the competent governing body of the Association.
This governance structure reflects BPMA's commitment to responsible leadership, professional integrity, transparency, and service to its members while functioning as a Section 8 Non-Profit Organization registered under the Companies Act, 2013.
